Internships

AWAR welcomes university student interns for credit who are interested in assisting in its downtown Rome office and with special projects or events. There are opportunities to utilize skills in the fields of desktop publishing, photography, graphic design and event organization.

Programs are available for both students who are in Rome with study abroad programs as well as students enrolled in degree programs. English is the only language required.

Community Service

Our Merit Award program recognizes the contributions that university students for credit make as participants in our community service programs in which we are also volunteers. These programs reach out to the Italian community therefore a good working knowledge of Italian can be useful but is not absolutely necessary.
