Our guest speakers are Italian author Ettore Farrattini and his American publisher Julie Gianelloni Connor from Bayou City Press.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to meet Ettore before the October 11 launch of an English-language translation of his award-winning novel, The Nine Lives of Tito d’Amelia. Perhaps you have already heard of the book or even read it in Italian. It's been a big hit both with Italian literary critics and readers and is certain to be a hit in the U.S.
Ettore will speak about his book, his family history, his cat (the star of the book), and of course his hometown, Amelia.
Julie will join the conversation and offer her perspective on publishing the book, what it's like to publish a translation, and her experience as a publisher.
Coffee, light refreshments, and simple pastries will be served. Guests welcome.
