One-hour Guided Boat Tour on the Tevere Followed By Aperitivo
Join AWAR member Julia Griner and boat guide/nature expert Federico Bronzi for a one-hour boat tour to discover the flora and fauna of the Nature Reserve Nazzano Tevere-Farfa. This regional park, full of vegetation, water birds and other animals, is a great way to enjoy the beauty of the river while relaxing on one of the ecological boats used for the excursion. This is a FAMILY friendly event. Our hour-long educational excursion will be followed by an aperitivo.
The boat is accessible to folks with reduced or limited mobility. Transport is available for those who want or need a ride to the venue a 10min stroll away.
How to get there: Arrive by car or carpool (location will be provided) or a 45min 6€ a/r direct train from Tiburtina to Poggio Mirteto Scalo. Those arriving by train will be ferried back and forth by Julia (3-6 spaces) to the boat launch, aperitivo, and station.
When: Saturday, May 31, 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm
Location: Riserva Naturale Nazzano Tevere-Farfa
Cost: 22€ per person. This includes the tour and an aperitivo of salumi, cheese, bruschetta, and a drink. FarFOOD and ‘Il desiderio di Barbiana’, an association that educates and integrates young people with autism and other issues into everyday life and work, will be our aperitivo hosts. A good cause to support!
RSVP and pay online by May 15! Sorry, no cancellations.
Please NOTE that this event is for a tour where there will be other members of the public. If we would like an exclusive tour, the cost would be 140€ divided between all participants. If this appeals, please let me know ASAP so I can option a Private session before May 10th.
