FAWCO Screening of "In The Name of Your Daughter"

You are invited to join AWAR and Region 8 Fawco Clubs for a screening of the powerful documentary “In the Name of your Daughter”, produced by the award-winning filmmaker Giselle Portenier.  Giselle gives a voice, for the first time, to some of the world’s most courageous girls, Tanzanian girls as young as eight who are risking everything to escape female genital mutilation and child marriage and to Rhobi Samwelly, the Founder and Director of Hope for Girls and Women Tanzania.  You can watch the trailer by clicking on In the Name of your Daughter.   

The Session will be led by Tharien van Eck, Target Project chair, who will provide a brief overview of Hope for Girls and Women Tanzania, THE 2020-2022 Target Project S.A.F.E. (Safe Alternatives to GFM Elimination) and followed by a Q&A session with Giselle Portenier.
